The rulebook

How a duel works

1. Format

Single-elimination bracket. Each match is a 1v1 duel. Win and advance. Lose and you're out.

2. The brief

At the exact start time, both duelists in a match see the same brief — written by the organizer. No prep, no preview, no leaks (server-enforced).

3. The clock

40 minutes to build. 5 minutes to submit (live URL, repo URL, short pitch). The server timestamps everything. After the cutoff, the form locks.

4. Tools

Use anything. Lovable, Claude Code, Copilot, your own setup. We don't care how you build — we judge what you ship.

5. The jury

Each match is scored by a panel of jurors. They see "Submission A" and "Submission B" only — no names, no avatars. They score three dimensions: design, functionality, and would-I-invest. Sliders show no numbers — pure vibes.

6. The winner

Each submission's score is averaged across all jurors. Higher total wins. Tiebreaker order: functionality → design → invest → organizer call. Winner auto-advances to the next bracket slot.
